FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

For optimum energy production panels should be positioned facing south and can be fixed to the roof, wall or gable end of a building, or on the ground.

  • The sun does not have to be shining for the panels to work

  • Although the cost of PV panels is still high, installations are most cost-effective for new build projects or where a roof is being renewed as they can be incorporated into the structure, replacing conventional materials such as roofing tiles or cladding

  • The panels are silent in operation

  • Systems are virtually maintenance-free and panels generally come with a 20-year guarantee

  • Systems can be grid connect or off grid to supply power to remote locations with no mains electricity supply

  • PV systems are complimented by wind power to ensure a continuous supply of energy all year round

Government grant-aid is available for grid connect PV. Sundance Renewables is able to assist in obtaining grants, assessing your requirements and installing complete systems. A 1kW, grid connect PV array can be installed for around £5,000 with grant assistance.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We can supply and install a wide range of PV systems, and recommend a range of products - further details are available on the websites below:
