There are two main types of solar collectors, flat plate and evacuated tubes, and government grant aid is available for both. The cost of an installed domestic hot water system, depending upon the size and type, can vary from £2,000 to £3,000, with grant assistance. Please

Less expensive unglazed collectors are also available and are particularly cost effective for outdoor swimming pools where lower water temperatures are required. A kit suitable for a 24' x 12' pool costs £1,700 plus VAT.
