A survey and analysis to formulate a database for the assessment of waste wood resources in Objective 1 areas of Wales, leading to the suitable location of a wood briquette making facility for the sponsoring company ESD.  Funded by WDA and ESD in collaboration with University of Wales, Cardiff.

This study investigates new developments in the extrusion of solid fuel briquettes from woody feed stocks. The possibility of processing a wider range of feed stock materials, and selling into larger sectors of the energy market, is potentially an important opportunity in Wales for investment in rural energy production.
